Antiport is a type of Co-transport mechanism which is comes under the active transport which power can is power active transport indirectly.

Here its name says about its process of Anti-Port means in this type of transportation Proton Gradient and Molecule transport in opposite directions of each other thats why its known as "Anti-Port Transportation".

A proton gradient also transport same time but in opposite direction of other molecule from cell exterior to interior & vise-versa.

Example : Sodium ion graduent in E.coli sodium ion is pumps outward in response to inward movement of proton gradient move in opposite direction known as Anti-port.

gradient generated by this proton antiport system to contribute uptake of sugers & amino acids.

E.coli at least have this system for suger such as Galactose.
