4) Lab Safety Goggles :
Safety goggles are intended to shield the wearer's eyes from impact hazards such as flying fragments, objects, large chips, and particles.
Goggles, or safety glasses, are forms of protective eyewear that usually enclose or protect the area surrounding the eye in order to prevent particulates, water or chemicals from striking the eyes. They are used in research laboratories.
Goggles fit the face immediately surrounding the eyes and form a protective seal around the eyes. This prevents objects from entering under or around the goggles.
The frame of ski goggles is usually made from a durable but relatively flexible plastic, the most commonly used is polyurethane (PU). The frame will be backed with padding foam. Most ski goggles lenses are made from a polycarbonate material that is shatter resistant.
The type of safety eye protection you should wear depends on the hazards in your workplace : If you are working in an area that has particles, flying objects, or dust, you must at least wear safety glasses with side protection (side shields) If you are working with chemicals, you must wear goggles.
